General Settings

This section discusses the options displayed on the General tab for a server profile.

Profile Name

This option specifies the name assigned to this server profile. Each server profile name must be unique and cannot contain the æ/Æ character (as this is used as a path delimiter).

Host

This option specifies the host name or IP address of the server.

Default User

This option specifies the name for login authorization. If this is left blank, Programmer Studio will prompt for the user name when required.

Password

This option specifies the password for login authorization.

Prompt for User Name and Password

When enabled, Programmer Studio will prompt for the user name and password to use when connecting to the server. The settings for Default User and Password are used as the default settings for the prompts.

File Access

This option determines which protocol, FTP or WTRSH, should be used to access files on the specified host.

Note

The WTRSH protocol is provided for HPe3000 support only.

Session Type

This option determines if TELNET should be used to create a session on the server when executing commands, compiling or debugging. If this option is left blank, files cannot be compiled.

Character Set

This option determines the character set to use to æmapÆ extended ASCII characters in text files. ISO-Latin-1 is identical to the Windows character set.
